Contemporary Graphic Design by Taschen
If you like good books and if you want a preview of what is best in graphic arts right now, I recommend the excellent book "Contemporary Graphic Design " published by Taschen. In this lovely book Charlotte and Peter Fiell we present an overview of the work of 115 contemporary designers.
The authors chose to present several works by artist (print, web, collages, montages, personal work) and their book a page, a personal space where they explain their work, their motivations, their personal vision of graphic arts. Thus, we can learn more about these "new" talents and thus better understand the work they deliver us.
The few books published by Taschen that I have are all very good and this one is no exception to the rule. This is a book that I recommend for anyone interested in graphic design and wish to have at hand a wealth of inspiration.
The book is available from Taschen around 30 €. The price is not excessive I think because the quality of the book is the rendezvous.
