The history of the castle

Miraval, rural mansion of dry white Quercy, shall rustic silhouette surrounded by vineyards and fields. Noble Jacques de Viguier, lord of the places and Coulourgues, honors were king in 1663 for his fief and castle of Miraval. Remains of a fireplace in the cellar attest to the antiquity of the remains, which can be dated XVI century. Our research in the departmental archives of the Lot have uncovered a document attesting to the presence of vines at the time.

possession of the castle by our family goes back to the nineteenth century. There was then vines planted on plots near the castle. Currently we grow about 3 hectares of vines.
